Bangladesh is a delta country: rivers define the map, the seasons, and the way people move. This directory covers 100 destinations across all eight administrative divisions. Each page gives you the short version of what the place is, some historical and cultural context, the season to aim for, how to get there from Dhaka, and practical tips.

The dry season, roughly October through March, is the default answer for most of the country. The monsoon is the exception that proves the rule: waterfalls in the hill tracts and the haor wetlands of Sylhet are at their best precisely when the rest of the country is hardest to travel.
