Overview
Fantasy Kingdom is Bangladesh's premier themed amusement park, offering a curated blend of high-energy thrills and family-oriented entertainment. As you enter through the iconic castle gates, you are greeted by a landscape of meticulously designed architecture, landscaped gardens, and a variety of international-standard rides. The park features adrenaline-pumping roller coasters, a giant flume ride, and the popular 'Izumi' wave pool in the adjacent Water Kingdom. The atmosphere is vibrant, designed to transport visitors into a fairytale setting far removed from the urban bustle of the capital.
Beyond the mechanical rides, the park offers themed zones including Heritage Park, which showcases miniature replicas of Bangladesh’s iconic monuments. Visitors can enjoy live performances, street magic, and a variety of dining options ranging from local delicacies to international fast food. Whether you are seeking the thrill of the 'Roller Coaster' or a peaceful walk through the landscaped paths, the park provides a comprehensive recreational experience for all age groups.
History & context
Established in the early 2000s, Fantasy Kingdom was developed by the Concord Group to provide a modern, world-class entertainment facility in Bangladesh. Located in Ashulia, Savar, it was the first park of its kind in the country to incorporate international safety standards and thematic design. Over the years, it has expanded to include a water park, a resort, and a heritage park, becoming a central hub for domestic tourism and a significant landmark in the development of the country's leisure industry. It reflects the growing demand for modern recreational spaces within the Dhaka metropolitan fringe.
Getting there
Located in Ashulia, Savar, the park is approximately 30 kilometers from Dhaka city center. You can reach it by taking a direct bus from Gabtoli or Mohakhali heading towards Baipail. Alternatively, app-based ride-sharing services or private cars via the Tongi-Ashulia Road are the most convenient options, typically taking 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic.
